Indulge in a kaiseki meal while uncovering the secrets of the restaurant’s 160-year history and learning about traditional Japanese ingredients and cooking techniques.
The experience also includes interacting with Yokohama geisha, performing on the shamisen, and being photographed while wearing elegant kimono.
Tanakaya is a traditional ryotei restaurant that operates on a reservation-only basis, which helps reduce energy consumption and minimizes food waste in its perfectly portioned meals that emphasize culinary excellence. The tour makes use of the Yokohama Minatomirai Railway, lowering CO2 emissions. Additionally, it includes routes that offer barrier-free access. By visiting this 160-year-old ryotei, rooted in the Edo period, participants can connect with Japanese culture and gain a deeper appreciation of tradition and the importance of preserving it.
