Sustainable Yokohama
In 2018, Yokohama set the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050—named Zero Carbon Yokohama. Citizens, businesses, and all other stakeholders in the city share the global sense of urgency concerning this issue and are actively promoting practical initiatives in order to achieve the Zero Carbon Yokohama goal.
We have already achieved small goals along the way—for example, reaching net-zero CO2 emissions at Rinko Park near the main convention area—but our eyes remain fixed on a truly sustainable future for Yokohama.
