Yokohama Arena, as the core facility of Shin-Yokohama, opened in April 1989 as part of Yokohama City’s 100th anniversary of municipal government and the 130th anniversary of the port’s opening. With an arena floor space of 8,000 square meters and a maximum seating capacity of 17,000, the venue features a movable seating system that allows the main arena’s layout to be easily adjusted, as well as hooks for suspended structures, enabling versatile event staging and venue customization to suit various types of events.
Since its opening, Yokohama Arena has hosted a wide range of events, including concerts and shows by domestic and international artists, ceremonies, conventions, exhibitions, and international sports competitions. In 2019, as it marked its 30th anniversary, the arena welcomed its 50 millionth visitor since opening.

Through proper maintenance and other measures, we manage the facility with a focus on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. In addition to hosting a variety of events, we collaborate with the local ward office to organize community contribution initiatives, ensuring that the arena serves as a hub for creativity and engagement within the local community.
