Visa-free Travel Returns to Japan with No Daily Arrival Capacity from October 11

Japanese government has announced that effective from 0:00 am (JST) on October 11, it will allow visa-free entry of independent tourists (short-term stay) for ordinary passport holders of 68 countries/regions and lift the current daily arrival capacity.
Regarding new entry of foreign nationals into Japan, they will no longer be required to submit applications through the Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System (ERFS)
All entrants will be required to provide either a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate (3 doses) of vaccines on the Emergency Use Listing of the World Health Organization (WHO)
or a certificate of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of departing from the original country/region.
