J Bio Food Recycle Corporation【Factory in Yokohama】

Company Outline

J Bio Food Recycle Corporation operates a food recycling plant that uses the power of microorganisms in methane fermentation to produce biogas from food waste, and the biogas is then used to generate electricity. It began operations in 2018 and is now helping 250 food-related companies to increase their food-recycling rates. The plant returns the generated electricity to emission-producing businesses as part of an “electricity recycling loop.” The plant also converts the fermentation residue into fertilizer for crops used by emission-producing businesses as part of a “fertilizer recycling loop.” The company’s goal is to develop a “double recycling loop” that combines both of these functions into one loop. J Bio Food Recycle Corporation continues to develop its business to further reduce CO2 emissions and their impact on the environment.
