Organizing the mind by facing one’s self

Taking a break from ordinary life and practicing zazen (seated meditation) will bring relaxation and improve concentration.

Sojiji

Sojiji is an internationally opened temple for Zen practice located in the suburban area of Yokohama city. It has ground of 500,000 square meters with well-structured buildings. In 1911 (591 years since Sojiji had been established on Noto peninsula) it was relocated to Yokohama city.

ZEN

Zazen  session will help us let go of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and improve concentration. It is well known that Steve Jobs practiced Zen.

“Zazen” practice is a recommended program for those who are suffering from pressure and stress.

Shojin ryori (Buddhist vegetarian meal)

Shojin ryori is made without meat, fish or other animal products, so it can be enjoyed by both vegetarians and vegans. At Sojiji, monks make meals. Making meals and eating meals have the same training value as Zazen and Samu (cleaning). Shojin ryori has come into the spotlight nowadays as a healthy cuisine.
